Annual Gala & Banquet
The Annual Gala is held each year to review accomplishments and to thank and recognize exceptional volunteer leaders. It’s a memorable evening of outstanding entertainment, great food and a chance to catch up with friends and colleagues in the business community.

Athena Award
The Athena Award is presented to either a man or woman to honor that individual for their business or professional accomplishments, community service, mentoring of others and providing a role model to encourage women to achieve their leadership potential.

Chamber University
Chamber University is a continuing education and training program developed to meet the specific training and educational needs of the local business community. Corporate Cup Challenge Golf Outing
The Chamber’s annual golf outing has become one of the largest outings of the year. Awards are presented in three separate flights. The Corporate Cup Challenge pits Chamber member vs. Chamber member, all in good fun.

Economic Outlook Breakfast
Each year at The Chamber’s annual Economic Outlook Breakfast, a nationally recognized economist presents an overview of our national economy.

Job & Career Fairs
Held semi-annually, The Chamber Job & Career Fairs draw prospective employees from all over Sangamon County and Central Illinois. Attendees include high school students, college students, professionals seeking a change and newcomers to the area.

Leadership Springfield
An eight-month series of seminars during which participants gain enhanced leadership skills and in-depth exposure to critical issues affecting the Springfield area. Participants meet community leaders and decision makers who share their perspectives on significant problems and opportunities.

Plae Dae Picnic
Over 700 people attend The Chamber’s Plae Dae Picnic held at Bridgeview Park on Lake Springfield. It features great food, beverages and live music. For many years, Plae Dae has been, and still remains, a tradition of fun, good food and friendship.

Sangamon County Agriculture Hall of Fame
The Chamber and the Sangamon County Farm Bureau have partnered to host this event which annually inducts one person into the Hall of Fame. The event is also held to better inform the business community of the impact that agriculture has on our region and to celebrate the hard work of people and organizations in the agriculture industry.

Small Business Awards Luncheon
This annual event recognizes area small business people for their outstanding achievement in five different business categories. The over 400 attendees include area business owners and leaders, local and state politicians, and small business advocates and employees.

State of the City
Each year, the Mayor provides a look back at the past year’s accomplishments and an outlook of our community for the future.
