Chamber Events and Sponsorships
The Chamber hosts many events throughout the year, which are enhanced by the participation of member sponsors. Chamber events are designed to connect people on either a business or social level and only members have the opportunity to serve as event sponsors. Being a sponsor is a great way for businesses to receive visibility while showing support for The Chamber and community. The cost depends on the event and the level of sponsorship. Below is a list of Chamber events and sponsorship opportunities available.
The Gala is held each year to revisit accomplishments from the previous year, review priorities for the current year and recognize exceptional volunteer leaders. Typically attended by approximately 700 people, it’s a memorable evening that provides an opportunity to catch up with friends, business colleagues and key business leaders in the community. Business After Hours
The Chamber’s monthly evening network building event. A Chamber member sponsor hosts the event at their facility providing them an opportunity to showcase their firm and provide food, drink and an atmosphere conducive for networking with other members. Corporate Cup Challenge Golf Outing
The Chamber’s annual golf outing has become one of the largest local outings of the year. Held in July, the Corporate Cup Challenge features Springfield area businesses competing against one another in a shotgun start scramble format. The outing includes 18 holes of golf with cart, refreshments on the course, continental breakfast, lunch, dinner and awards. The top three teams in three different flights receive prizes, but only the best of the best earns the right to keep the Corporate Cup Challenge traveling trophy. Economic Outlook Breakfast
Each year, business leaders in Sangamon County gather at The Chamber’s Economic Outlook Breakfast to learn about the condition of our economy. A nationally recognized economist presents an overview of our national economy and how it will impact our local community. Global issues that drive U.S. economics and an outlook for investment markets are also reviewed. Additionally, results from the fall Sangamon County Economic Outlook Survey are announced. Elected Officials Reception
This informal reception provides a unique networking opportunity to interact face-to-face with individuals who have been elected to serve our community. The reception offers a valuable chance to meet those people who work on issues that sometimes have a great impact on local businesses. As the voice of business in the greater Springfield area, this reception provides access to our elected officials and encourages members to participate in the political process. The Chamber’s morning network building event held six times throughout the year. Greater Springfield Chamber Job Fairs
Held semi-annually, the Greater Springfield Chamber Job Fairs draw prospective employees from all over Sangamon County and Central Illinois. Attendees include professionals seeking a change, newcomers to the area, college and high school students. Click HERE to review sponsorship opportunities.
This leadership development program is a 14 week series of half day programs during which participants gain leadership skills and in-depth exposure to critical issues affecting the Springfield area. During the program, participants interact with community leaders and decision-makers who share their perspectives on significant accomplishments and opportunities within the Springfield community. Interactive professional development is a cornerstone of Leadership Springfield.
'Shoes & Brews
This relaxed evening event in July provides a chance to catch up with friends and colleagues. "Shoes & Brews features some of Springfield's famous Horseshoes as well as local breweries and wineries. Small Business Awards
This annual event recognizes area small business owners and entrepreneurs for their outstanding achievements. Individuals whose fervor for running a business is rivaled only by his or her willingness to serve the community.
