Sangamon Intern Collective
Are you an intern, apprentice or early career professional in greater Springfield/Sangamon county area? We want YOU to join us for our new program - Sangamon Intern Collective.
Our programing will help you build your professional skills, make connections, and experience all the great things starting your career in Sangamon County can offer. With a winter meet-up during semester break and programming over the course of the summer, you'll leave with connections and skills to help launch your career. Programming is FREE but registration is required.
Winter Intern Connect
Make plans to join us Wednesday, January 6, 2027 for our first Winter Intern Connect. We'll have speed networking tables where you'll spend 20 minutes hearing from area leaders on what it takes to build a successful career in Central Illinois. Food and heavy appetizers will be provided. More details and registration will be announced later this fall.
Summer Class Schedule
Sangamon Intern Collective meets every other week in June and July from 5:30 - 7 PM at various locations in Springfield. Attendees will enjoy a light dinner and networking opportunities before hearing form a local expert covering a variety of personal and professional development topics. The official schedule will be announced in early 2027.
Social Activities
Summer shouldn't be all work and no play. We've reserved tickets or organized meet-ups at some of the area's iconic summer events and venues. Participants will receive a weekly email with information about events that are happening throughout the community. Join your fellow interns for a taste of what summer in Sangamon County has to offer.
